Supreme loser Donald Trump tried to sneak back onto Twitter – but Twitter wasn’t having any of it

Donald Trump tried to sneak back onto Twitter but was banned after a single day, cementing his title of supreme loser.
Four months after he was handed a permanent ban by Twitter, the former president tried to sneak back onto the social media platform using the account @DJTDEsk.
It is believed to have been set up to keep his supporters up to date with his new blog “From the Desk of Donald Trump”.
But on Wednesday (5 May), after a single day, the account was taken down for “violating Twitter rules”.
In a statement to NBC, a Twitter spokesperson said: “As stated in our ban evasion policy, we’ll take enforcement action on accounts whose apparent intent is to replace or promote content affiliated with a suspended account.”

Trump was initially suspended from Twitter on 6 January over his role in inciting the Capitol riots.
While he was briefly allowed back, he was soon back to posting messages that could “inspire others to replicate the violent acts that took place on 6 January”, Twitter said, and he was banned permanently.
Donald was also banned from both Facebook and Instagram following the violence, a decision that was upheld by the company’s independent oversight board this week.
“The board found that, in maintaining an unfounded narrative of electoral fraud and persistent calls to action, Mr Trump created an environment where a serious risk of violence was possible,” the board ruled.
“At the time of Mr Trump’s posts, there was a clear, immediate risk of harm and his words of support for this involved in the riots legitimised their violent actions.”
Although the oversight board said it would review Trump’s ban within six months, the former president took to his blog, described as a “deranged man’s Tumblr“, to rant about the decision.
He wrote: “What Facebook, Twitter, and Google have done is a total disgrace and an embarrassment to our Country. Free Speech has been taken away from the President of the United States because the Radical Left Lunatics are afraid of the truth, but the truth will come out anyway, bigger and stronger than ever before.
“The People of our Country will not stand for it! These corrupt social media companies must pay a political price, and must never again be allowed to destroy and decimate our Electoral Process.”
