Everything you need to know about Love, Victor’s epic season two return
Love, Victor is returning for a second series and the UK and Ireland release date has finally been announced.
Fans won’t have to wait almost a year after the US air date of Love, Victor this time as series two is coming on 18 June.
The second series will premiere just a week after the US, with episodes being released weekly on Star on Disney+ in the UK.
The cast announced the UK and Ireland release of series two in a video, with Anthony Turpel, who plays Felix, saying: “We’re so happy that so many of you enjoyed watching season one, and we loved hearing from people all around the world.”
While the show’s star Michael Cimino, teases: “We’re so excited to show you what we’ve been up to.”
So what’s happening in series two? Well it picks up with a newly out-of-the-closet Victor who is about to star his junior year at Creekwood High.
But his coming out bring new challenges as Victor faces a family struggling with his revelation, a heartbroken ex-girlfriend in Mia and the difficulties of being an openly gay star athlete.
This is all while navigating the excitement of his new relationship with Benji – which we’re sure fans will be excited about as series one was left on somewhat of a cliffhanger!
The series sees the original cast return alongside newcomers Ava Capri, who plays Benji’s cool and free spirited friend, and Anthony Keyvan, as a funny and effusive LGBT+ student at Creekwood who is at the start of his coming out journey.
The first series – which is a spin-off of the hit film Love, Simon – was released in the US in June 2020, much to the disappointment of UK viewers who had to wait until February 2021.
