SIX the Musical: Tickets, dates and more for reopening of the smash-hit show on London’s West End
SIX the Musical is returning to London’s West End and we’re going to lose our heads (with excitement).
The smash-hit musical and Tudor extravaganza will be back at the Lyric Theatre for a limited run from 21 May.
It’s the only West End show that’s powered by an all-female band and tickets for SIX are now on sale from Love Theatre and London Theatre Direct.
The musical follows the six wives of the infamous Henry VIII who take to the stage to tell their stories in a pop concert inspired by some of the biggest modern day artists.
The show features the likes of Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn and Jane Seymour who tell their story against the backdrop of songs including “Don’t Lose Ur Head”, “Get Down” and “All You Wanna Do”.
It’s become a breakout hit since its 2017 debut and is produced by Lucy Moss and Toby Marlow, with the former becoming the youngest female Broadway director in herstory.
The musical premiered at Edinburgh Fringe in 2017 with a sold-out run, before being invited back the next year due to its popularity and rave reviews.
SIX then toured across the UK and opened on the West End where it received five Olivier Award nominations including Best New Musical and Best Supporting Actress for the six stars.
Since then a Broadway production was planning to open which was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the show is now set to premiere in September 2021.
Tickets for SIX the Musical at Lyric Theatre are now available from Love Theatre and London Theatre Direct. They’re priced from £32 plus booking fees.
Other big theatre shows confirmed to be returning to the West End include Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Wicked, Heathers and Hamilton, while Frozen the Musical will finally open in August.
