Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance now has a release date and will launch straight to Xbox Game Pass

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance PS5

Both Xbox and Wizards of the Coast have confirmed that Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is heading to next-gen consoles next month.

The upcoming third-person action-RPG game Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers on June 22.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is, of course, the successor to Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance and Dark Alliance 2.

Set in the region of Icewind Dale, Dark Alliance features four playable characters, the Companions of the Hall, Drizzt Do’Urden, Catti-Brie, Bruenor Battlehammer, and Wulfgar – based on R. A. Salvatore’s novel series The Legend of Drizzt.

Each character has their own special moves, which amount to 50 in total, bringing what the developers describe as a new, brutal and exciting experience to players.

Using each character’s special abilities and moves to help the frozen land, the Dungeons & Dragons universe is set to include both single-player and multiplayer modes, allowing online co-op to have up to four players engaging in battle at the same time.

Encountering a menagerie of iconic D&D monsters and creatures, players need to gather loot to seek the power of the ancient crystal, Crenshinibon.

Dark Alliance will be available from June 22 on Windows 10 PCs, Xbox, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 (PS5).
