Reebok releases iconic ballroom-themed Pride 2021 collection in collaboration with House of Ninja

Reebok has unveiled its ballroom-inspired “All Types of Love” capsule collection for Pride 2021.

The line features new footwear pieces and apparel that Reebok says is “inspired by inclusion, protest signs and the legacy of drag ballroom legends.”

It’s been released on the Reebok website and sees the brand team up with the iconic House of Ninja for the campaign.

The legendary ballroom house appear in visuals for the collection online, including a recent video trailer posted on social media.

The first father of the house, Archie Burnett, says in the clip: “In ballroom it’s family first, and that means everybody. Voguing is an abstraction of life, it’s release. Fierceness isn’t born, it’s made.”

Reebok adds: “One of the first forms of LGBTQ+ resistance, ballroom’s a haven where those who had been shut out for their race, sexuality and gender expression could be their true selves.”

The brand also confirms it’s featuring the Progress Pride Flag on shoes and clothing for this year’s collection because it “because it champions inclusion.”

So what can you get from Reebok’s 2021 Pride collection? Well there’s different availability for US and UK customers.

In the US you can get three pairs of trainers including Nano XI training shoes, Instapump Fury OG shoes and Club C shoes, which have all been reimagined for Pride.

There are also graphic t-shirts, crop tops, bike shorts and tights, all embellished with the Pride flag now available from the US website.

While UK shoppers can get the Club C shoes as well as pink and black hoodies with a woven rainbow label and a rainbow graphic tank top in pink and white from the website.

The latter pieces are ‘coming soon’ to the US alongside a t-shirt saying “Always Classic. Always Proud” in black and pink.

Reebok will also put their money where their mouth is with a $75,000 donation to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project.

The organisation works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence.
