Trump stan Kirstie Allie thinks she’d be less hated if she was ‘cooking meth’
Kirstie Alley claims she was “blackballed” in Hollywood because she voted for Donald Trump.
Alley, best known for Cheers, Veronica’s Closet and not much else, blamed her ailing career on her support for the former president, claiming: “You can be cooking meth and sleeping with hookers, as long as apparently you didn’t vote for Trump.”
Alley was a vocal Trump advocate throughout his term, and proudly announced she’d be voting for him over Joe Biden “because he’s NOT a politician”.
Speaking to Tucker Carlson on Wednesday’s (19 May) Fox Nation, Kirstie Alley said she was warned against coming out as a Trump voter in 2015.
After defying this advice, she was allegedly told by “people” that she’s “so brave”.
“I go: ‘No, I think I’m stupid,'” she added.
“Because honestly, it is a real situation. And it is a real blackballing situation. It’s so strange to me because artists are free-thinkers, for the most part.”
Alley’s only IMdB acting credits in the past four years are a TV movie called You Can’t Take My Daughter and a single episode of The Goldbergs. She had a recurring role in Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens in 2016.
Taking aim at sex workers, for some reason, she continued: “You can be cooking meth and sleeping with hookers, as long as apparently you didn’t vote for Trump. I feel like I’m in The Twilight Zone a bit, with the whole concept of it.
“On Twitter I had many celebrities follow me and now I think three follow me. “I’m going: ‘I’m the same person. I’m the girl who voted for Obama twice… You liked me when I voted for Obama and now you’re this?’
“It’s made me have to rethink, weirdly, my whole friendships.”
After the interview aired Donald Trump issued a statement calling Alley “a great actress”.
Alley responded: “Just got a very kind acknowledgment. Thank you Sir, I wish you were still on Twitter ..as you should be.”
