Elliot Page posted a shirtless photo wearing his first pair of swimming trunks, and they have once again broken the internet.

The Umbrella Academy star shared the photo of himself poolside on Monday (24 May) alongside the caption “trans bb’s first swim trunks”. They added the hashtags “#transjoy” and “#transisbeautiful” to the post.

It’s the first shirtless photo Page shared since coming out as trans and recovering from top surgery, which he told Time “completely transformed my life”.

Elliot Page’s shirtless photo has quickly become a viral sensation as the world swoons over the actor’s shredded physique and beautiful energy.

Miley Cyrus summed up what the entire internet was thinking in one comment on Instagram. She wrote: “Hot”.

Emmy Raver-Lampman, who co-stars in The Umbrella Academy with Page, pointed out his radiant smile in the new photo. She commented: “LOOK AT THAT SMILE!!!” The comment was accompanied by multiple heart emojis.

And Julianne Moore wished the actor a “happy summer”.

Fans across the internet have reacted to the photo with admiration and support.

Writer Serena Daniari wrote on Twitter that Elliot Page “looks so happy in his new pic”. She added: “This is what we need to see more of and what the media rarely shows: trans joy and prosperity.”

Franklin Leonard, founder of The Black List, asked one of the many questions fans had about the photo – namely, “how many crunches do I have to do before my abs look like that”.

One fan shared that it has been a joy to follow Page’s personal milestones since he came out as trans. They wrote: “Elliot Page got top surgery AND he f*****g got absolutely shredded and I have never felt so euphoric for a person I’ve never met before”.

Another wrote that Page could “beat all of us up”, and they are “thrilled about it”.

Someone else posted a gentle reminder that all trans bodies are beautiful and valid on Twitter, saying Elliot Page is “not a standard to set”. They wrote: “If you’re a trans man with another body shape, you’re just as trans as he is, and just as much a man as any cis man.”
