PlayStation Plus free games for June revealed, including Star Wars Squadrons and Operation Tango
Star Wars fans will be very happy with the free monthly games coming to PS Plus in June.
Star Wars Squadrons will be arriving, along with two other games, on 1 June.
Its single-player is set after Return of the Jedi and sees you fighting as both The New Republic and The Empire in epic space combat with iconic vehicles.
There’s also a multiplayer mode online. Plus, the whole thing can be played in VR – if you can stomach it.
Check out a trailer below.
Star Wars Squadrons will be available for PS4 PS Plus owners, as will Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown.
Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, the most recent in the classic fighting game series, was released way back in 2010 in the arcades, with a console release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.
Now it’s being remastered for PS4 as Ultimate Showdown after a long hiatus, though the series has been playable within the Yakuza games. Incidentally, this remaster is being developed by the Yakuza team too.
Check out a trailer exclusively from IGN and prepare to face off against the likes of Kage, Akira and Sarah.
Lastly, for PlayStation 5 PS Plus owners only, is the brand new Operation: Tango. Take on the role of Hacker or Agent in this co-operative spy thriller taking on dangerous missions in a high-tech future.
You’ll need to work together to complete each mission – a working microphone is required for both players.

The three games will be released on 1 June, available until 5 July (except Virtua Fighter, which will available until 2 August).
That means this is your last chance to download this month’s games until 31 May: Battlefield V, Stranded Deep, and Wreckfest.
