From muscle daddy Knuckles to male Viera, here are six furry game characters who could 100% get it

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. (Insomniac, Sony)

Have you seen how furry Ratchet looks these days? Thank you PlayStation 5.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a real showcase for Sony’s new console. Zoom in close and you can not only see reflections of the world in its characters’ eyes, but how thick and fluffy they are too.

You can probably see what we’re getting at here, but just in case we’re being too subtle: thanks to technology and video games, it really is a very good time to be a furry indeed.

To celebrate that, here are some of our favourite furry video game characters of the moment.

Rivet and Ratchet

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. (Sony)

Rivet, the female Lombax, is an excellent addition to the series in Rift Apart. She’s the plucky, nerdy counterpart to Ratchet and with not one but two furry creatures in the game, there’s something for everyone. The way the fur on their elongated ears blows in the wind is breathtaking, and aren’t their big eyes just so adorable?

Male Viera

Final Fantasy XIV. (Square Enix)

The next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, Endwalker is bringing with it a conclusive story. But more importantly, it’s bringing male Viera. Following on from Fran in Final Fantasy XII (clearly the best character), Viera are one of the playable races in the MMORPG but only as female, until now. It’s not long until we can all live our bunny boy twink fantasy.

Guardians of the Galaxy’s Rocket

At Square Enix’s E3 presentation they revealed the forthcoming Guardians of the Galaxy game. It’s unknown yet if Star Lord will be bisexual, as he is canonically in the comics, but it did give us a good look at Rocket. The little furry racoon looks to be as cocky as we’ve come to expect, plus he’s got a rather fetching beard.

Coco and Crash Bandicoot

The fourth game in the Crash Bandicoot series, already out on PS4, is soon to hit the PlayStation 5. That means that protagonists Crash and Coco have never looked so good, or so furry. And let’s face it, Coco is definitely the cuter marsupial. Don’t forget Tawna too, the badass female Bandicoot.

Machamp

Pokémon Snap tasks you with taking pictures of your favourite cute little Pokémon. But that takes on a more voyeuristic tone when you spot Pokémon jock Machamp squatting and flexing away on the beach. Also, have you seen his butt?

Knuckles the Echidna

The next Sonic the Hedgehog film is still a while off, but shots taken from the set got fans all hot and bothered. No, not for Sonic, but for Knuckles. All we’ve seen so far are static models, but let’s just say that Knuckles is looking buff.
