Tekken’s Kazuya finally arrives in Super Smash Bros alongside Devil May Cry’s Dante… Kind of
As part of the Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC, Tekken’s Kazuya is now available in the game.
Kazuya is one of the most recognisable faces from the Tekken series. His inclusion was announced in the E3 Nintendo Direct showcase with a video of him throwing various Nintendo characters off a cliff, something he’s known for in the series.
In fact, here he is throwing Isabelle in-game:

In a new video, Smash Bros director Masahiro Sakurai debuted Kazuya’s moveset that has similarities with those in Tekken, with the addition of Devil’s Power that allows for jumps and special moves.
The video also showed off the new Mishima Dojo stage that’s closed off on all sides, but its walls and ceiling can be broken with strong attacks.
For the full rundown, check out the below video.
Kazuya and the Mishimo Dojo stage can be purchased in the downloadable Challenger Pack 10, or as part of the Fighters Pass Vol 2 that also includes Min Min from ARMS, Steve & Alex from Minecraft, Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII and Pyra/Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
One final fighter, the last to be added to Smash Bros, will be released later this year.
Of course, with pink ball Kirby having the ability to absorb the powers of other characters, that means there’s a Kazuya-Kirby costume that looks as adorable as you’d expect.

I'm convinced all these new smash characters are just an excuse for Sakurai to put Kirby in the cutest damn cosplay ever. pic.twitter.com/50iSNU0fvM— Gaijin (GimGam) Goombah (@GaijinGoombah) June 28, 2021
What’s more, new downloadable Mii costumes are also being added for Shantae, Lloyd Irving (Tales of Symphonia), the Dragonborn (Skyrim) and Dante (Devil May Cry).
It’s the Dante costume that’s got fans worked up, especially for those hoping he’d be included as a full playable character.

The costume inclusion finally means we can have a Dante vs Bayonetta showdown, even if it’s not quite what we expected.

As for that final character addition, speculation continues…
