These game-changing, leak-proof period pants can be changed without removing any clothing
Modibodi has launched new underwear to make it easier for people who are less mobile.
The brand’s Adaptive Boyleg reusable brief aims to help those with varying abilities to can change stress-free.
The briefs feature Modibodi’s leak-proof lining, hook and loop tape fastening and elastic hoops which are easy to grasp and make changing stress-free whether standing, sitting or lying down.
They say they wanted to align style and function while ensuring comfort was the key component to the product, which was released in August 2021.
Modibodi add they’re “the perfect pair, restoring confidence, dignity and independence for those with limited digit use, mobility challenges – and their carers.”
These adaptive briefs can be used by anyone needing protection from periods and bladder leakage, and can be changed quickly without removing clothing.
This is because they can be unhooked each side and slid out, then you can rinse them in cold water, wash them in the washing machine, dry and re-wear.
Modibodi ambassador and disability advocate, Emily J Prior put the product to the test saying: “Being independent and maintaining a level of privacy and dignity is really important for me.
“Sometimes buttons, hooks and zippers can be tricky when you have a disability and these adaptive period pants are awesome!”
“The velcro closures and loop pulls on either side, make it easy for someone to put on or take off their underwear whether they are standing, sitting, in a wheelchair or laying down.”
They’re priced at £19.50 / $24.50 USD / $29 AUD and are made from soft bamboo fabric in black design, with sizes available between six to 20.
It follows up the release of the Detachable Bikini in 2020 which is designed with hook and eye side fastening and with a moderate to heavy absorbency.
The Modibodi Adaptive Boyleg is now available from modibodi.com.
Other popular products available on the website include bikini briefs and leggings which are both made from recycled materials and eliminate the need for any disposable sanitary items.
