The internet is thirsting hard over Luke Evans in Nine Perfect Strangers: ‘it’s like a fever dream’
Nine Perfect Strangers recently premiered on Hulu and Prime Video and the reviews are in – everyone’s thirsting over Luke Evans.
The mini drama series based on the book of the same name is fronted by Nicole Kidman (and her wig), who plays the mysterious owner of a wellness centre.
It’s impressive cast also features Melissa McCarthy, Regina Hall, Michael Shannon and Samara Weaving, but all of the attention is currently on Luke Evans.
After the first three episodes premiered on the streaming services this month people have been tweeting that Luke Evans is a “snack” and well, they’re not wrong.
Someone else added “I’ve got a crush on Luke Evans” after watching the show, and others were a little more thirsty, asking “when does he get in the pool?”.

Another viewer said they weren’t “enthralled” with the series but they tuned in for Evans, as did another viewer but they’re now “hooked” on the mystery-drama.
A number of people noted that it was nice to see Evans – who is openly gay – playing a gay character in the series.
One person tweeted, “I like seeing Luke Evans play an honest to god home of sexual,” while another said “visibility matters.”
In other news I’m very happy Luke Evans is finally playing a gay. Visibility matters.

His character, Lars Lee, is described as “a man who comes to the resort with a hidden agenda,” and after three episodes we still don’t know too much about him.
However one hilarious exchange with the other characters, which sees him call them “breeders”, has also caught the attention of viewers.

The plot of the show reads: “Nine Perfect Strangers follows nine very different people who arrive at Tranquillum House, a mysterious wellness retreat that promises ‘total transformation’.
“Once there, the guests fall under the spell of the enigmatic Masha (Kidman), who will stop at nothing to heal them. As the days unfold, however, Masha’s unorthodox methods threaten to push this combustible group over the edge.”
