Shea Couleé RuVeals her fave beauty buys, including one bargain product she can’t live without
Shea Couleé has revealed some of her beauty favourites and we’re adding them to our baskets immediately.
The All Stars 5 winner unveiled the products she can’t live without in conversation with The Strategist.
From skin care and beauty to household items, Shea Couleé told the magazine nine of her favourite things.
This includes the Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer from Rihanna’s Fenty Skin, which she says she actually uses as a makeup primer rather than moisturiser.
So whether you’re getting into drag makeup, or you just want to perfect your daily makeup routine, this tip from an actual Drag Race winner is one to note down.
She explains: “It smooths out the surface of my skin and evens my tone, so my makeup glides right over it and sits on top without issue.”
Shea also praises the SPF 30 in the product saying she has a “darker complexion and most sunscreens leave a noticeable light-bluish cast” on her skin but this product from Fenty “blends in” perfectly.
The Drag Race star is no stranger to Rihanna after she appeared in the second Fenty x Savage fashion show alongside Jaida Essence Hall in 2020.
Among the list Shea also recommends a bargain skincare oil from the brand Bio-Oil which she says is “so nourishing and keeps my skin really hydrated”.
She spotted the product when it was buy-one-get-one-free and because she “loves a good sale” she stocked up and now goes through a bottle in a month.
On the other end of the price scale is Good Genes from the brand Sunday Riley, which is a glycolic acid treatment to “get rid of those dead skin cells and have brighter, fresher skin.”
She says this one was recommend by her drag sister and fellow season nine contestant Farrah Moan, who is Shea’s “best resource” for skin care.
“I think Farrah single-handedly got the entire cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race season nine into Good Genes. Someone needs to write that girl a check,” she adds.
Fenty Skin’s Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer is available from fentybeauty.com or boots.com, the Bio-Oil product is available from amazon.com while Sunday Riley’s Good Genes is available from dermstore.com.

Shea Couleé reflects on All Stars 5
Last year Shea Coulée walked away with the All Stars 5 crown after a stellar season, which finished up with an iconic final lipsync to Janelle Monae’s “Make Me Feel”.
During the competition India Ferrah alleged that Alexis Mateo was “campaigning” to eliminate Couleé by getting the other queens to choose her lipstick.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Shea says “her [India’s] plan almost worked. I was so worked up in my emotions, because I was already doubting Alexis.”

She reveals: “I was really leaning towards picking Alexis’ lipstick. I had my hands on it, ready to do it.
“But, I remembered what I told myself in the beginning of the competition: My strategy would be based on the performance, and, at that time, India had the lowest performance.”
She adds that she has no negative feelings about her All Stars 5 competitors and she’d “never ever want to aim any hate or vitriol towards any of my sisters”.
