Joe Rogan, the anti-LGBT+ podcast motormouth who has spread vaccine scepticism to his millions of followers, has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Joe Rogan Experience host, 54, confirmed Wednesday (1 September) on Instagram that he began feeling unwell Saturday night after returning from a series of shows in COVID-ravaged Florida.
Rogan told his 13.1 million followers he had a headache and was feeling “very weary” and “run down” and has since moved to a different part of his home away from his wife, Jessica Ditzel, and his two children.
“Throughout the night, I got fevers, sweats, and I knew what was going on,” he said in a video captioned: “I GOT COVID.”

Joe Rogan, who sparred with the White House in spring for suggesting that young people do not need to get vaccinated, said he is being treated with a laundry list of medicines.
“Sunday sucked,” he said, but by the time he made the video he said he was now feeling “pretty good”.
“A wonderful heartfelt thank you to modern medicine for pulling me out of this so quickly and easily,” he added.
The regiment he is on includes monoclonal antibodies, a common treatment for coronavirus patients, and prednisone, a steroid that acts as a first-line treatment for the critically ill.
Rogan also said he is on a “vitamin drip” and the animal deworming agent ivermectin, which the Food and Drug Administration has outright warned against using.
“Taking large doses of this drug is dangerous and can cause serious harm,” the agency says on its website of the drug, which has become popular among COVID-19 doubters on Reddit and Facebook.
The comedian added in the caption that his upcoming appearance in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of the Joe Rogan: The Sacred Clown Tour, has been postponed to October.

He had only recently come back home from gigs in Orlando, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.
Rogan, who hosts the most popular podcast on Spotify, stressed in the video that he is “not an anti-vax person” following his comments undermining the vaccine’s impact on young people.
On his show, often over whiskey and weed, man-child Rogan often speaks to guests about how “straight white men” are being silenced by “wokeness” or makes vile jokes about trans people.
“If you’re like 21 years old and you say to me, ‘Should I get vaccinated?’ I’ll go, ‘No’,” Rogan said in April, adding: “If you’re a healthy person and you’re exercising all the time and you’re young and you’re eating well, I don’t think you need to worry about this.”
Get vaccinated, White House officials and actual medical experts bluntly replied at the time.
“Because it is likely that you – even if you have no symptoms – that you may inadvertently and innocently then infect someone else, who might infect someone who really could have a problem with a severe outcome,” Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, told NBC.
“So if you want to only worry about yourself and not society, then that’s OK.”
