Drag Race star Jade Jolie issues grovelling apology for Nazi porn film past
Drag Race star Jade Jolie has issued a grovelling apology after images of her taking part in a Nazi-inspired porn shoot resurfaced on social media.
Jolie, who appeared on season five of RuPaul’s Drag Race, worked in porn prior to launching her career as a drag queen. One of her past films included a Nazi role-play – and it’s fair to say fans aren’t impressed.
Jade Jolie apologised for the Nazi-inspired porn shoot on Twitter last Thursday (9 September), shortly after she was announced as a competitor on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula.
“I am so thankful for all the love and support I’ve received today. I am also thankful for the comments I’ve received holding me accountable for my previous actions,” she wrote.
“When I was in my youth, I was down on my luck financially and did adult film work to survive.
“During one of the shoots I was involved in, I was asked to portray a Nazi soldier in a scene. Against my better judgment and with an abusive partner pushing me to say yes, I chose to participate and I have felt shame and regret for that decision every day.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jade Jolie said shame stopped her from apologising
Jolie continued: “My shame has also prevented me from speaking about my decision and making an apology.
“I realise now that avoiding this is only more damaging to the Jewish community and the people who have been hurt by this.
“I take full accountability for my choices and understand that what I did was wrong, regardless of the circumstances.”
She added: “I do not support antisemitism, racism, or bigotry in any way and I apologise sincerely to anyone who I have hurt.
“I hope moving forward I can show you that I’m not someone who is above taking accountability for the things I may be ashamed of.”
The response from fans and other Drag Race icons was mixed. Some were happy to forgive Jolie for her past actions, while others questioned what she’s willing to do next to show she’s truly sorry.
Ok nice apology. Now what are you going to do to show that apology via action. Are you going to donate your time or resources to a Jewish community center or org in your city on top of this?

Never apologize for owning your truth. We learn, we grow and we move on. I support you my sister and this was so nice of you to acknowledge!

This looks a lot like ppl trying to get 5 seconds of Twitter clout or trying to fele like they have some moral high ground by shaming a sex worker from 15 years ago for being put in a really tough situation while trying to make enough money to survive….
