Nicki Minaj ‘forgives’ Boris Johnson after his truly embarrassing attempt at shade

Nicki Minaj has ‘forgiven’ prime minister Boris Johnson after he claimed he wasn’t familiar with her work.
Minaj tweeted on Monday (13 September) that she missed the Met Gala this year because she declined a COVID vaccine, saying she was still doing her “research”. In a later tweet, she claimed her “cousin in Trinidad” wouldn’t get a jab because “his friend got it and became impotent”, and that his “testicles became swollen” as a result.
At a Downing Street news conference, a journalist asked Johnson and chief medical officer Chris Whitty about the tweets.
Whitty said there are a “number of myths that fly around” that are “clearly ridiculous” and “designed just to scare”.
“This happens to be one of them,” Whitty said, Huffington Post reported. “That is untrue.”
Prime minister Boris Johnson chimed in that he isn’t as “familiar with the works of Nicki Minaj as I probably should be”. But he said he is familiar with “Nikki Kanani, a superstar GP of Bexley” who “will tell you vaccines are wonderful”.
“That’s why I prefer to listen to Nikki Kanani,” Johnson added, Sky News reported.
Nicki was quick to share a clip of the briefing to Twitter, adding: “I love him even tho I guess this was a diss”.

“The accent ugh,” Minaj wrote. “Yassss boo!!!”
She later tweeted a special message to the prime minister and asked her fans to tell him that she forgives him. But “no one else”, she added.
In a voice message to Johnson, Nicki Minaj revived her iconic faux-British accent and declared that she thought Johnson was “so amazing on the news this morning”.

She added that she is “actually British” and attended Oxford with the former prime minister Margaret Thatcher (born 1925), who told Minaj “so many nice things about you”.
“I’d love to send you my portfolio of my work since you don’t know much about me,” Minaj added. “I’m a big, big star in the United States.”
