Drag Race UK’s Veronica Green ‘had a couple of apologies’ from her season two sisters

Drag Race UK’s Veronica Green won’t be underestimated again.
Veronica is returning for season three of Drag Race UK, which launches Thursday (23 September) on BBC iPlayer, having been invited back by RuPaul after COVID knocked her out of the competition earlier this year.
During her first time on the merry-Ru-round, it’s fair to say that the season two queens didn’t take Veronica seriously as a challenger.
It’s something she’s had “several conversations” about “with a few different queens post-show”.
“Sometimes you don’t see people coming,” Veronica told outlets including PinkNews.
She explained how some of the other queens were more well-known both to viewers and to each other.

“I have struggled to get a foothold in the drag scene anyway. So, by nature of that that my name hasn’t been hadn’t been thrown around a lot [for Drag Race UK season two].
“Also, I took the NDA [non-disclosure agreement] very, very seriously on season two. I didn’t tell a soul, and all those spoiler sites, my name wasn’t even on there until close to the very, very end of filming. I was keeping my cards close to my chest.
“And I think that was one of my biggest strengths, that they didn’t know what I was capable of and what I could do.”
Since the show, Veronica Green has “had a couple of apologies” from queens who didn’t take her seriously, and there are no hard feelings.
“It’s a competition at the end of the day, and I’m a fiery personality as well. I’m not a victim here.
“I was definitely being a wolf in sheep’s clothing, by design, I was putting myself in that position of the secret assassin. Season three had better watch out!”
PinkNews also spoke to Drag Race UK’s first-ever cis woman competitor, Victoria Scone, who explained how she hopes her appearance on the show opens doors for trans drag and queens of colour both on- and off-screen.
