Gender fluid person brutally attacked because they were wearing a dress and heels

Thugs in Shrewsbury attacked a non-binary, gender fluid person, kicking and punching them because they were wearing high heels and a dress.
According to the Shropshire Star, 30-year-old Will Falshaw had just picked up some food and was on their way home from a night out at around 3.30am on Saturday (25 September) when the attack took place.
They said they were approached by someone who they recognised as having “threatened” them before, but this time, the encounter turned violent.
Falshaw said: “I went out and had a couple of drinks. I’d had a nice evening.
“I had just been for a takeaway when I noticed this lad who had threatened me before. He was with another lad. They started giving me grief and then just attacked me.
“They knocked me to the ground and were kicking me in the face. It went on for about a minute. I didn’t see which way they went.”

Falshaw, who believes the attack was related to their gender expression, said they hope someone may have seen something that could help identify the anti-LGBT+ thugs.
My face was all black and blue and I had bruised ribs. I went into work the next day but was sent home when they saw the state of me,” they said.
“It’s related to my gender exploration. I’m gender fluid.
“For work I dress more masculine, but the rest of the time I’ll be sporting high heels and a dress.”
Falshaw works at Henry Tudor House, a bar and restaurant in Shrewsbury, and has warned local pub landlords about the men, and suggested they put them on Pubwatch.
They insisted that Shrewsbury was normally a safe place for them, but added: “They need to know you cannot behave like this. You can’t go around hitting people.”
