RuPaul confirms Drag Race UK season four with major announcement

Potential drag superstars, the time has come – Drag Race UK season four has just been confirmed and casting is now open.
With season three still airing, RuPaul wasted no time in making a big announcement on the show’s social media channels Wednesday morning (October 27).
“Calling all UK queens,” Mama Ru says in the clip, “casting for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series four is now underway.
“If you think you’ve got what it takes to be the UK’s next Drag Race superstar, well, I want to hear from you!”
Hopefuls are invited to visit the show’s official casting page for details on how to apply.
If you’ve got ambitions of being the next Bimini Bon Boulash or Baga Chipz, we’re afraid there’s absolutely no time to waste as the deadline for applications is just around the corner.
“Time is tight, babes, you only have until November 10th to complete this first stage of the casting process,” the show’s casting ad reads.
Thankfully the application form for this initial round isn’t too laborious – applicants are simply asked to submit their basic details, plus their Instagram handles and websites (if they have one).

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, BBC Three also announced that it has picked up the rights season two of Canada’s Drag Race.
The new season, which will see 12 Canadian drag queens battle it out in the hopes of following in the footsteps of series one champion Priyanka, is due to land on the BBC iPlayer this December.
Brooke Lynn Hytes is joined by three new judges this year, Brad Goreski, Amanda Brugel and Traci Melchor, alongside a weekly celebrity guest. Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Stacey McKenzie will not be returning.
Perhaps the next crop of Canadian hopefuls will offer some inspiration for aspiring UK queens.
