It will premiere on 2 September, for a limited run until 1 October.
The show follows the story of out-of-work actor Daniel, who will do anything for his kids.
After losing custody in a messy divorce, he creates the alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives.
As his new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father.
It’s of course, based on the film of the same name starring Robin Williams as the title character, which became a huge box office success.
Earlier this year, Netflix Twitter account The Most asked people to share their memories of the first time they saw a queer person on screen, with a number of people noting Mrs Doubtfire.

The film featured Harvey Fierstein and Scott Capurro as “Uncle Frank and Aunt Jack”, which may have not been the best LGBT+ representation, but for many, seeing a gay couple on screen was enough to help them better understand themselves.
The musical debuted in 2019 at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre and has since moved to the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Broadway, where it’s still running.
The Seattle engagement broke records for the bestselling new musical in the history of the theatre, playing to more than 75,000 people in just 42 performances.
The UK premiere of Mrs Doubtfire is expected to be just as popular, and you can find out how and when to get tickets below.
