Dave Chappelle reportedly uses anti-gay slur and ‘jokes’ about identifying as a woman in new show

Dave Chappelle reportedly used the anti-gay f-slur and told “jokes” about identifying as a woman at a screening of his new documentary Untitled on Monday (22 November).
The Daily Beast reported that Chappelle performed a set at the screening, which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and that attendees were required to lock their phones in pouches to prevent video recording.
According to the publication, despite the ongoing backlash against his Netflix stand-up special, The Closer, in which he made explicit jokes about trans women’s genitals and declared himself “Team TERF”, Chappelle ploughed on with even more anti-LGBT+ “jokes”.
During the show, he reportedly told a story about being given a gun by his wife, and claimed that the final word someone would say to him before he used it would be “f****t”.
He continued that if he were to be arrested after the shooting, he would tell authorities that he identified as a woman to supposedly have an easier prison sentence.
The so-called comedian, 48, also reportedly told the audience that his pledge to stop making LGBT+ people the punchline of his damaging jokes only counted while cameras were rolling.
Introducing a performance by H.E.R., Chappelle is said to have joked: “It’s a pronoun you don’t hear much!” At another point in the show, comedian Jon Stewart joined him on stage, and Chappelle said that the pair should form a trans tribute band named “They”.

At a recent show, Dave Chappelle agreed to meet with members of the trans community regarding his relentless anti-LGBT+ comments, but insisted that he would only do it on his own terms.
He said: “To the transgender community, I am more than willing to give you an audience, but you will not summon me.
“I am not bending to anybody’s demands.”
“If you want to meet with me, I’d be more than willing to, but I have some conditions,” he continued.
“First of all, you cannot come if you have not watched my special from beginning to end.
“You must come to a place of my choosing at a time of my choosing.
“And thirdly, you must admit that Hannah Gadsby is not funny.”
Chappelle hit out at Gadsby after the queer comedian after she slammed Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, who included her name in a defence of Chappelle.
She told Sarandos via an Instagram post: “I would prefer it if you didn’t drag my name into your mess… You didn’t pay me nearly enough to deal with the real-world consequences of the hate speech dog whistling you refuse to acknowledge, Ted.”
