Little Mix put on united front in adorable show of support for Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s solo project

Little Mix stars Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall hold hands on the red carpet at Boxing Day film premiere

Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock was supported by her bandmates at the premiere of her new movie on Tuesday (30 November).

The singer, who recently gave birth to twins, was joined by Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards to celebrate her first acting role in the upcoming Christmas film Boxing Day.

The movie follows the story of an author named Melvin (Aml Ameen), who brings his American fiancée Lia (Aja Naomi King) home for the holidays to meet this British-Caribbean family.

However, they soon run into Leigh-Anne’s character, Georgia, a successful singer who also happens to be Melvin’s ex-girlfriend. Unsurprisingly, festive chaos ensues.

Thirlwall and Edwards, both 28, beamed with pride on the night as they celebrated Pinnock’s acting debut at the red carpet event.

It comes as the trio continue to put on a united front following the departure of former bandmate Jesy Nelson in December for mental health reasons.

The band’s red carpet appearance comes after Pinnock’s apparent fallout with Nelson, which also saw rapper Nicki Minaj launch a verbal attack on the mother-of-two.

Pinnock briefly touched on the fallout at her 30th birthday party on 16 October. In a video uploaded to social media by her sister, Sairah, the singer told the crowd: “I’m 30 years old. I know my character, you know my character, anyone that meets me knows my f**king character – and that’s all I care about.

“I’m so proud of everything I’ve achieved. The most beautiful fiancé, who I’m still obsessed with even after five years. I love you. And the two most beautiful, perfect babies. Everything I stand for, everything I’m fighting for, it’s for them [the twins].

“I will never stop. I have found my voice now and I will continue to use it. Tonight we celebrate life, best friends and amazing family. I love you all.”

Pinnock’s fiancé, Gray, intervened after the singer became tearful, stating that anyone who disrespects his wife-to-be would have ‘a problem’ with him.

Meanwhile, the band will head out on their first UK tour as a threesome in 2022, with arena dates planned across the country. Fans can get their hands on remaining tickets for the Confetti Tour from Ticketmaster here.
