Nothing beats a live gig and there’s plenty of shows taking place this year, from Adele and Katy Perry’s Las Vegas residencies to huge arena tours from Billie Eilish and My Chemical Romance.

Below we’ve compiled a list of some of the best music tours taking place in 2022 and how to secure your tickets.

Katy Perry’s first ever residency is a feast for the eyes with the singer emerging from a giant toilet, singing with a huge face mask, mushrooms, daisies and rainbows to name a few things.

The setlist features some of her biggest hits, with “Teenage Dream”, “Firework”, “Hot n Cold” and of course, “Waking Up in Vegas” all making appearances.

Fans can catch the show, entitled Play, at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas until 19 March, which was extended due to demand for tickets.

Similar to other Las Vegas residencies, it’s likely that even more dates will be added throughout the year, so watch this space.

Adele

Another hot ticket Las Vegas residency for 2022 is Adele. The icon is performing Weekends With Adele at The Colosseum at Caesers Palace from 21 January.

She will perform every Friday and Saturday until 16 April in support of her recently released album, 30.

Fans can expect to hear new material including “Easy On Me”, “I Drink Wine” and “Hold On” alongside classic tracks, “Someone Like You” and “Rolling In The Deep”.

Tickets for the residency were snapped up when they went on sale in late 2021, so they’ll be a little harder to get your hands on.

But there’s still a chance to get some via resale, so keep checking Ticketmaster in the run-up to the shows.

Kacey Musgraves

In early 2022 Kacey Musgraves will tour her acclaimed album star-crossed.

Her fifth studio album overall, the country-pop record is her personal journey of heartache and healing following her divorce.

It features lead single “Justified” and the Grammy-nominated track “Camera Roll” and sees her inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet in both the lyrics and accompanying music film.

Fans can catch her live from 19 January, with dates planned across North America, including Madison Square Garden.

Elton John

This year Elton John is returning to his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which will five fans one last chance to the pop icon before he retires from touring.

When announcing the tour he said: “I’m going to go out in the biggest possible way, performing at my very best, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had, playing in places that have meant so much to me throughout my career.”

His extensive run will see him perform more than 100 dates across North America this year, finishing up on 20 November before heading back to Europe.

My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance are back! It’s time to don your black eyeliner, box dye hair colour and Doc Martens for their much-anticipated reunion tour.

Originally set to be just three headline UK dates, due to the pandemic these were pushed back and the group added European and North American dates to the tour.

Fans can catch them at venues later this year, but a number of dates are already sold out. If you’re after tickets then your best chance is resale tickets, so keep checking Ticketmaster for updates.

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa is touring the soundtrack to many people’s lockdown, Future Nostalgia, throughout 2022.

Fans in North America can catch the disco-infused album live between February and April, with the setlist expected to include “Levitating”, “Don’t Start Now” and “Break My Heart”.

She will be supported by Megan Thee Stallion, Caroline Polachek and Lolo Zouaï across various dates of the arena tour, so fans are in for a star-studded, all-female lineup.

Kesha

Kesha is touring the US in 2022, with eight headline shows planned for March.

Talking about her long-awaited live return, the singer posted on Instagram: “2022 is going to be it. For all the reasons. Bout damn time. AND I’m taking the party back out on the road!! I cannot WAIT to get wild N WEIRD with y’all”.

Fans can expect to hear some of her biggest hits alongside tracks from her 2020 album High Road, which she was set to tour but was forced to cancel due to the pandemic.

Mitski

Mitski is touring across North America in 2022 in support of her upcoming album Laurel Hell.

It features singles “Working for the Knife”, “The Only Heartbreaker” and “Heat Lightning” and will be released in February, just before the tour kicks off.

Fans can catch her at various dates between 21 February and 31 March, but extra shows have already been added due to huge demand, so you’ll have to be quick to secure your tickets.

Lorde

Lorde is touring her latest album Solar Power across North America this spring and fans can expect a stunning live spectacular.

She’ll perform tracks including “Mood Ring”, “Stoned at the Nail Salon”, “Fallen Fruit” and the title song for the first time at the shows.

She kicks off the tour on 3 April, with dates including two nights at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

HAIM

This year HAIM will head out on the extensive One More HAIM Tour, with plenty of dates taking place between April and June.

It’ll be in support of their Grammy-nominated album Women in Music Pt. III, which features tracks “Summer Girl”, “Now I’m In It” and “Gasoline”.

A number of cities have seen an extra date added due to huge demand, so if you want tickets make you get them as soon as possible.

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish will be touring across North America for two months, kicking off on 3 February.

It’s part of the Happier Than Ever, The World Tour,and in support of her album of the same name. It features tracks “NDA”, “Therefor I Am” and “Your Power”, while fans can also expect to hear the likes of “Bad Guy” and “No Time To Die” on the tour.

She’ll also be supported by WILLOW and Duckwrth across the tour on various dates, so check your local show for more info.

MARINA

In 2022 singer MARINA is touring her latest album Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land, across North America.

She’ll kick off the tour on 2 February in San Francisco, with support coming from Tove Styrke and Pussy Riot across the run.

Fans can expect to hear the likes of “Man’s World”, “Purge the Poison” and new tracks from the deluxe edition, “Happy Loner” and “Pink Convertible”.

Charli XCX

Charli XCX is taking her Crash Tour to venues across North America throughout March and April.

It’s in support of her upcoming album of the same name, which is due for release on 18 March, just ahead of the tour.

It features singles “Good Ones” and “New Shapes”, the latter of which is a collaboration with Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek.

Fans can expect to hear plenty of gay anthems on the tour including the iconic track “Vroom Vroom”.

Shawn Mendes

Shawn Mendes will tour across the US between June and October in support of his latest album Wonder.

He’ll be supported by Dermot Kennedy on the Wonder Tour which stops off in Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Brooklyn and Miami to name a few.

Fans can expect to hear some of his biggest hits alongside singles from the album, including the title track and “Monster”.

Coldplay

Coldplay are embarking on a stadium tour in support of their album Music of the Spheres.

The tour, which will see them perform “sustainable and low-carbon” shows in Chicago, Inglewood, Atlanta and East Rutherford to name a few, with support coming from H.E.R.

These hot music tickets were snapped up in late 2021 when they were released, but there’s still some availability across all dates on the tour.

Imagine Dragons are bringing their Mercury Tour to arenas across North America in 2022.

It’ll be in support of their recently released fifth studio album, Mercury – Act 1. It’s a two-part album, described by frontman Dan Reynolds as being one half “organic” and the other “more aggressive”.

The tour will run between 6 February and 1 May, with plenty of stop offs along the way and tickets still available to buy.

5 Seconds of Summer

5 Seconds of Summer are bringing their huge world tour to North America in summer 2022.

They’ll perform dates throughout June and July in support of their album Calm. The album features singles “Easier”, “Teeth” and “Old Me”.

The dates were originally supposed to take place in 2021, but were postponed due to the pandemic, so fans will now get the chance to hear the new tracks live.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! is a residency show at The Flamingo in Las Vegas that’s running throughout 2022.

The stage show, which recreates the pink Werk Room, features a mix of original music, lip syncs, comedy and dance number directed by RuPaul and choreographed by Jamal Sims.

It stars a rotating cast of iconic Drag Race alumni including Yvie Oddly, Naomi Smalls, Asia O’ Hara, Vanessa Vanjie and Derrick Barry.

Todrick Hall

Todrick Hall is bringing his Femuline Tour to venues across North America between March and May.

It will be in support of his fourth studio album, also entitled Femuline, which features collaborations with Chaka Khan, Brandy, Ts Madison and Nicole Scherzinger.

He says the LP is inspired by gay Pride and sees him embrace both his feminine and masculine sides.

Rina Sawayama

Fans in North America will finally get the chance to see Rina Sawayama’s acclaimed and genre-bending debut album for the first time in 2022. The rising popstar is headlining a number of dates this spring.

The setlist will feature the likes of “Chosen Family”, “STFU!”, “Comme des Garçons (Like the Boys)” and her remix of Lady Gaga’s “Free Woman”.

In early 2022 Clairo is touring her second album Sling, with the singer promising safe, harassment free spaces saying: “Everyone deserves a resource and everyone deserves to enjoy the show in peace.

“I want the audience to know that there is someone who will listen and believe them at every show”.

She’ll be joined by support acts Arlo Parks and Widowspeak across the tour between February and April.

Tame Impala
