Kristen Stewart had intense ‘physical’ reaction to meeting Scream icon Neve Campbell
Kristen Stewart has revealed she was completely starstruck when she met Neve Campbell because she loves the Scream star so much.
In another case of “celebrities are just like us”, the Spencer star opened up about the extremely relatable reaction she had when she spotted the iconic actor out in real life.
During an interview for W’s annual Best Performances issue, Kristen Stewart recalled the sweet moment as she said: “I saw Neve Campbell in a restaurant the other day, and I looked over my shoulder and did this thing that I hate when people do [it] to me, where they look and then snap back and pretend they didn’t see or something. I’m like, ‘Just come say hi.'”
Though her friend encouraged her to say introduce herself, Stewart chose to shy away until Campbell invited her over.
The 31-year-old gushed: “She invited us to sit down and chat for a minute. I was like, ‘Man, I need to go see Scream.‘ I love that series so much.
“But it’s funny who actually starstrikes you. It’s never who you expect. It’s a physical thing.”
The Happiest Season star continued: “Maybe you love a musician, maybe you love an actor so much, but you see them and you’re like, ‘Yeah, cool. That’s them. They’re a person.’
“There are some people that just get in there. Physically. And then your body goes, ahh. ‘Cause, logically, there’s no reason — it’s a person, but I get it.”
In fact, Campbell isn’t the only star Stewart has been excited about in recent months.
In November, the Charlie’s Angels star expressed her hope to have her upcoming wedding officiated by celebrity chef Guy Fieri.
Speaking on The Howard Stern Show, the actor explained that she and screenwriter fiancée Dylan Meyer planned to opt for a non-traditional ceremony and would likely officiate their own wedding unless the TV chef wanted to get involved.
“We’re either going to have like no one, we’re just going to do it ourselves and just not have somebody officiate to sort of have another party involved in our moment,” she said. “But we did hear that Guy Fieri from the Food Network officiates a lot of gay weddings.”
She added: “So, the idea of that man – that sweet, sweet spiky-headed man – coming to our wedding and officiating it, it just makes me laugh so much.”
Fieri made headlines in 2015 when he officiated a mass same-sex wedding ceremony in Miami to pay tribute to his late sister, who was gay.
So far, over 100 same-sex couples have had the honour of Flavortown Fieri as their wedding officiant so time will tell if Stewart joins the club.
