Popstar Peach PRC ‘feels finally at peace’ after coming out in brilliant viral video
Australian singer Peach PRC has come out publicly as a lesbian, sharing her truth in a teaser for a new song on TikTok.
Peach PRC – aka Shaylee Curnow – posted a short video to her almost 1.8 million followers on TikTok, teasing the release of her song “God is a Freak”.
The singer, dressed in a gorgeous sheer, pink dress, sits in front of a pink-themed heart flag that looks very much like something straight from the Powerpuff Girls.
The camera slowly zooms in on her face as she sings along, with the caption: “Since this song has been blowing up, I guess now is a good time to tell you all: I’m a lesbian.”
@peachprc the people on my private account already know this but pls be nice 💖 any negative comments will be deleted
Peach PRC told Pedestrian.tv that the response from fans has been “really beautiful and supportive”.
“I feel so welcomed by the lesbian community and finally at peace with something I’ve been shying away from for the longest time,” she said.
Fans across the internet were absolutely ecstatic that the beloved singer felt comfortable sharing her truth with the world.

The Adelaide singer-songwriter later jumped on Instagram, joking that her closet was “made of glass”.
“Came out as a lesbian today (to be fair the closet was made of glass lol),” she wrote.
One fan on Instagram thanked Peach PRC for coming out and for the “hyper-femme lesbian representation”. They added that the singer has no idea “how many lives you are changing by proudly living as an openly visible lesbian”.
Another person declared the singer “our lesbian queen”.
The performer shared on TikTok that she leaked her song “God is a Freak” without telling her label because she was concerned they would “say it was too controversial”.
But she said they saw her video and actually loved the new single.
Considering the song only leaked a few days ago, it’s doing considerably well on the video-sharing app.
Thus far, over 2,200 videos have used a clip of Peach PRC’s song. The videos highlight everything from people’s experiences with organised religion to even recommending sapphic books with religious settings.
