Britney Spears blasts ‘scum’ Jamie Lynn Spears as sister’s book becomes national bestseller

Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears

An infuriated Britney Spears blasted her sister Jamie Lynn Spears after she discovered her memoir is a national bestseller.

In a months-long tit-for-tat, the Spears sisters have increasingly sparred over the mistreatment Britney, 40, suffered during her nearly 14-year-long conservatorship.

But tensions flared after the 30-year-old child actor released her tell-all autobiography titled Things I Should Have Said, which sees her reflect on her career, family and growing up with her sister. The book this week shot up the National Best Sellers list, having soared on Amazon earlier.

Britney Spears: ‘The timing of your book was unbelievable Jamie Lynn’

Sharing two clips on Instagram Friday (28 January) of The Real panel discussing “Britney’s Sibling Rivalry”, Britney slammed the child actor for “making money off me”.

Addressing Jamie Lynn directly in the blistering post, Britney had a terse message for her sibling: “You are scum.”

“The timing of your book was unbelievable Jamie Lynn,” she wrote, “especially knowing the whole world had no clue what was really done to me !!!!”

“My whole family including you saying YOU DIDN’T KNOW ….,” the “Toxic” hitmaker added, alluding to her conservatorship, “bulls– !!!

“The nerve of you to sell a book now and talk s**t but [you’re] f***ing lying. I wish you would take a lie detector test so all these masses of people see you’re lying through your teeth about me !!!!

“I wish the almighty Lord would come down and show this whole world you’re lying and making money off of me !!!! You are scum, Jamie Lynn.”

Since breaking her silence on the conservatorship that tightly controlled her financial and personal affairs for more than a decade, Britney Spears has taken aim at her family for “ruining her life” and “abusing” her.

Her sister remained silent throughout much of the saga – it was not her place to speak out, she claimed.

It comes after Britney’s legal team issued an incendiary cease and desist letter to her sister over the book.

Matthew Rosengart, a high-powered former federal prosecutor, wrote: “Although Britney has not read and does intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain.

“She will not tolerate it, nor should she.”
