Zendaya gave an Emmy Award-worthy performance in the latest episode of Euphoria.

The fifth episode of the series, entitled “Stand Still Like the Hummingbird”, featured some emotionally-charged scenes.

It saw her character, Rue’s family and friends attempt to stage an intervention following her relapse, which resulted in chaos.

The show, which is known for its intense storylines, is also just as popular for its visual aesthetics.

During the airing of the episode, one fan asked if someone could “please” find Rue’s entire outfit.

In the episode Zendaya’s character, Rue, repped a 2wo2imes t-shirt from the skater brand, Andrew alongside a pair of classic Converse.

Viewers of the show have been heaping praise on Zendaya, saying that she gave an Emmy Award worthy performance in the episode.

Angus Cloud, who plays Fez on the show, was among those tweeting, saying: “Give Zendaya her Emmy now!”.

Another said they thought the show was “about eyeshadow and gay people” but the episode “was the scariest s**t I ever seen”.

Somebody else tweeted that “tonight’s Euphoria will earn Zendaya another Emmy nomination (and likely) another Emmy win”.

Zendaya previously won a Best Actress Emmy for season one of Euphoria, making history as the category’s youngest-ever winner and only the second Black woman to win the category in its 71-year history.

Following the airing of the episode Zendaya posted a snippet from an interview which sees her discuss Rue’s journey.

She said: “It’s my hope for people watching that they still see her as a person worthy of their love. And worthy of their time, and that she has a redemptive quality still, and that we still see the good in her even if she can’t see it in herself.”

“If you can love her, then you can love someone that is struggling with the same thing, and maybe have a greater understanding of the pain they’re facing, that is often out of their control. So for me, that is the most important thing,” she adds.

The actor also says that it’s “important that we have characters that are flawed” and that “redemption is possible”.
