Pride Month takes place in June and is a time for LGBT+ people to celebrate how far we’ve come while also recognising the work that still needs to be done.
As part of the month, big name brands and independents release Pride-themed collections but some have come under fire for chasing after the “pink pound” and ignoring LGBT+ people for the rest of the year.
In order to combat this, in recent years a number of brands have collaborated with LGBT+ artists and highlighted exactly how much money they’ll be donating to LGBT+ charities, and which charities will benefit from the Pride clothing sales.
Last year’s Savage X Fenty Pride capsule collection featured some stunning pieces, while donating $250,000 to five organisations.
The range included crop tops, shorts, a jockstrap, trunks, boxer briefs and thongs all featuring the Fenty logo in a rainbow design.
Plus there was even a rainbow kitty whip, which was snapped up by fans of course.
This year’s full collection is likely to drop in June and after the brand released a harness for Valentine’s Day, we can expect some more iconic items.

Rihanna confirms Savage X Fenty stores are coming soon
Rihanna recently confirmed that Savage X Fenty stores will be opening in 2022.
The singer revealed to her 116 million Instagram followers that the lingerie brand will open brick-and-mortar retail stores in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia and Washington DC.
She captioned the post: “Can’t believe it’s actually that time, and I can’t wait for you to have this experience irl.”
In an interview with Refinery29 she said: “The whole idea of the retail space is that I wanted women and men to come in and feel represented, to walk away from the experience feeling confident and that they belong.
“I’ve experienced being a customer and shopping in the lingerie space and have felt as if I didn’t fit the mold of the product.
“But ‘Savage x Fenty’ is very inclusive, and I want to continue to expand on that so that our consumers can feel our commitment within the retail space.”
