Brighton is the LGBT+ capital of the UK and attracts tourists from across the globe every year.
If you’re planning a trip to Brighton and want to support LGBT+ businesses, then you can stay in an LGBT-owned hotel or B&B during your visit.
There’s plenty of hotels in the city that are LGBT+ friendly, alongside specifically gay-owned accommodation you can book for your 2022 trip.
This summer will see the much-anticipated return of Brighton Pride after a three year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The weekend-long celebration will take place on 5-7 August, with events including the Pride Parade, Village Party and We Are Fabuloso festival.
The festival will feature headline sets from Christina Aguilera and Paloma Faith alongside Bimini Bon Boulash, Ella Henderson and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

Brightonwave
The four-star Brightonwave is just a two minute walk to the beach. It’s described as a “stylish Boutique-style guesthouse” that has an “exceptional” rating on Booking.com. It’s set within a traditional townhouse that’s been refurbished into a stylish B&B. It’s close to the pier and shops and is an ideal spot if you’re planning on going to Pride this year.
Hotel Nineteen
Located on Broad Street, is one of Brighton’s first ’boutique’ hotels, Nineteen. It’s another spot that’s a short walk to the beach, pier and sights, while the hotel itself has a Courtyard Room with its own private outdoor hot tub. The hotel has been described as “perfect” for a two-night stay in Brighton on Booking.com.
A Room With a View
A Room With A View hotel has a “superb” rating on Booking.com with a nine out of 10. The perk is in the name, with nearly all of the bedrooms offering a large sea view window, while one room has garden views. One glowing review said the owners “went the extra mile to make our trip special”.
Blanch House
Blanch House is situated in a Regency-era townhouse, with each room having its own unique design. It’s interior has a touch of Bridgerton mixed with modern and the hotel has been rated as “superb” by guests on Booking.com. There’s high compliments for the food and location if you’re after a good night’s sleep.
Ambassador Hotel
Ambassador Hotel has a more old school aesthetic inside but plenty of character. It’s located in the Kemptown district and is a six-minute walk from Brighton Pier. Among the 700 reviews on Booking.com, the most positive comments are about the staff, who are described as “excellent”, “friendly” and “welcoming” by guests.
Amsterdam Hotel
Amsterdam Hotel is situated opposite the famous Palace Pier, with a selection of large rooms to suit different budgets. Plus the hotel also offers entertainment in the Centre Stage Bar, with Cabaret and other shows taking place throughout the week. What more do you need?
