The anniversary concert will be led by Amber Davies, as sharp-shooter Annie Oakley, Julian Ovenden as love interest Frank Butler and Trevor Dion Nicholas as soldier and showman Buffalo Bill.
It will feature songs from the soundtrack including, “There’s No Business Like Show Business”, “I Got Lost in His Arms”, “I Got the Sun in the Mornin'” and “Anything You Can Do”.
Davies, who takes on the role of Annie Oakley says: “I am very excited to be taking to the stage of the magnificent London Palladium in this iconic role.”
It will mark the first time the show has ever been seen in concert and has been by produced by Cuffe and Taylor and Lambert Jackson.
The latter’s creative director, Eliza Jackson says: “Annie Get Your Gun is a classic that has been enjoyed by generations and the music and lyrics are both timeless and fun.
“We have a wonderful cast and we can’t wait to open the curtain on Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show.”
The story is a fictionalised version of the life of Annie Oakley, a sharpshooter who starred in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West, and her romance with sharpshooter Frank E. Butler.
It first debuted on Broadway in 1946 and ran in New York for more than 1,000 performances, as well as London’s West End.
The musical has since spawned revivals, a 1950 Oscar-winning film adaption and a number of television versions.
