Vans releases its rainbow-infused footwear and apparel collection to celebrate Pride Month

Vans has released its Pride collection for 2022 featuring shoes and apparel.

Vans has released its Pride collection and is donating $200,000 to three LGBTQ+ organisaitons.

The popular brand has launched its much-anticipated Pride range, which features apparel and shoes.

The “Together As Ourselves” collection features classic slip-on Vans, lace-up Old Skool Vans, t-shirts, tote bags and caps.

The limited edition Pride range is now available to shop at vans.co.uk and vans.com.

Vans said the collection is: “Inspired by the LGBTQI+ community and the spirit of creative self-expression, our new footwear and apparel collection is designed to support a more equal and inclusive society.”

It features Pride editions of classic Vans silhouettes, including “Pride Is…” shoes, which are available as slip-ons and lace-ups.

They’re embellished in the Progress flag colours and feature different phrases, including “Pride Is Power” and “Pride Is a Journey”.

There’s a pair of Old Skool Vans, with rainbow stripes down the side, replacing the classic white stripe of the originals.

Another pair in the collection are the classic slip-on shoes, which are covered in a kiss lip print and the quote “Love Can Save Us” along the rubber sole.

The apparel pieces include t-shirts branded with “Love Can Save Us” and “Chosen Family”, as well as one with a rainbow stripe across the front.

Vans fans can also get a shirt embellished with the word “Love” in different languages and a hoodie with the “Pride Is…” slogan.

There’s also two caps, one with a Progress Pride flag embroidery and one with “Chosen Family” on it, as well as a tote bag.

Vans has confirmed a donation of $200,000 from the Checkerboard Fund at Tides Foundation to three organisations “committed to advocating for and providing the space, access and community needed to uplift the voices of the LGBTQ+ community”.

This includes a donation of $50,000 to ‘Where Love is Illegal’, which has been created by the not-for-profit organisation Witness Change.

The campaign “amplifies the voices of LGBTQI+ community members in order to inspire connections, transform opinions and change policies”.

The organisations first fellowship has awarded three LGBTQ+ photographers to document stories from queer communities.
