Britney Spears and Madonna recreated their epic 2003 lip-lock moment at the “Toxic” singer’s beautiful wedding to Sam Asghari.
The iconic pop divas showed they are still close after they shared a smooth on Thursday (9 June) at Spears’ surprise wedding. The pair famously kissed as millions watched their performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003 with Christina Aguilera.
Pictures taken from what appeared to be the reception showed Spears, who is wearing a stunning red mini dress with fringe at the sleeves, leaning in to peck Madonna on the lips.
In another image, Spears was smiling widely while Madonna – who was rocking a rainbow-coloured frock – held her close.

Spears, Madonna and Aguilera performed “Like a Virgin” and “Hollywood” at the 2003 event. Aguilera and Spears were dressed in white mini wedding dresses while Madonna wore a sleek black outfit.
While singing, Madonna grabbed Britney Spears, and the two shared a steamy kiss that would go on to receive widespread media attention.
The “Hung Up” singer also kissed Aguilera. But their moment was overshadowed as the camera cut to Justin Timberlake, who had recently split up with Spears, in the audience to catch his awkward reaction.
Madonna was among the only 60 guests invited to Spears and Asghari’s intimate wedding in Los Angeles. Other celebrities included Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton and West Side Story star Ansel Elgort.
Iconic Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace made an appearance at the wedding and even designed the “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer’s swoon-worthy white gown.
Versace told People that a “tremendous amount of love” was “poured into every detail” of Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s wedding outfits.
Spears walked down the aisle by herself to Elvis Presley’s hit “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, and a source told People that the singer “cried happy tears at some moments” during the ceremony.
