Rebel Wilson met with wave of love and support after coming out and introducing world to partner

Rebel Wilson has officially found love and celebrities and fans alike are here for it.

The Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids star announced her relationship with fashion designer Ramona Agruma on 9 June on Instagram with a customary soft launch post.

The comedian penned a heartfelt note on her Instagram that read: “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.”

Wilson was met with an overwhelming amount of support from friends and fans, with many excited to inaugurate Wilson into the LGBTQ+ fold during Pride Month.

Her Pitch Perfect co-star Brittany Snow gave her stamp of approval and added a few heart emojis: “????”

Former Love Island star and influencer Montana Rose Brown wrote underneath the post: “Love you so much ❤️ lovely people you are ?”

Fans also celebrated Wilson by sharing their own coming out stories, with one user saying: “I was 36 years young when I came out. Love this and wishing you all the happiness this chapter will bring you! ???????????”

Twitter had nothing but positive words for Wilson as well.

One user said: “Finally gay news that is not bad: Rebel Wilson is one of us y’all.”

“Pride month is like gay version of Masked Singer,” another added. “You never know which celebrity is gonna reveal themselves but I wasn’t gonna guess Rebel Wilson.”

And a fan of the Pitch Perfect series was quick to suggest a sequel to the movie: “Rebel Wilson has a girlfriend?? Lesbihonest….now we need the Pitch Perfect sequel where Fat Amy and Cynthia Rose fall in love at the Bellas reunion.”

Rebel Wilson was introduced to her new partner by friend Hugh Sheridan.

She first revealed that she was in a relationship in a May interview with People magazine, though she didn’t disclose Ramona Agruma’s identity.

“We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting,” she told People. “And that was a really good way to get to know each other. It was a bit old-school in that sense – very romantic.”
