Paris Hilton cancelled on Joe Biden to attend Britney Spears’ wedding

Paris Hilton has revealed that she cancelled plans to work with president Joe Biden so she could attend Britney Spears’ wedding.
The reality TV star gushed about attending her friend’s gorgeous wedding during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Hilton told guest host Chelsea Handler that she was asked by Biden and his team to DJ at the Summit of Americas event in Los Angeles on 9 June – the same exact date as Spears’ wedding.
Hilton said she turned down the gig to perform in front of “all the leaders of the world” because she didn’t want to miss the “Toxic” singer’s big day.
“And I’m like, ‘No, I’m not gonna to miss that,’” Hilton recalled. “They’re like, ‘We’ll send a helicopter and you can fly back and forth.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m not going to be the one landing in and out of Britney’s wedding in a helicopter.’ Like, come on.”
She cheekily admitted that she had to “cancel on the president” so she wouldn’t miss out.
Paris Hilton was among the few big names to attend the “Gimme More” hitmaker’s intimate wedding to Sam Asghari. The loving couple were married in a brief ceremony at their Los Angeles home surrounded by celebs like Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Kathy Hilton, Angel Elgort, will.i.am, Maria Menounos and Donatella Versace.
Hilton gushed that Spears’ wedding was “one of the most iconic nights” of her life, and she got emotional as she saw her friend of more than two decades tie the knot.
“Seeing her walk down the aisle, this angel, who’s just had a horrible time these past 13 years to finally have her freedom and to be able to do what she wants and have that happy fairytale ending was just beautiful,” Hilton described.

Handler questioned which member of Spears’ star-studded guest list got the most intoxicated at the event, but Hilton replied that everyone was more interested in having a fun time.
“It wasn’t even about the drink,” Hilton said. “It was more just about the dancing and the singing.”
Paris Hilton said that she belted out a tune, and both Gomez and Madonna took to the stage to sing.
Spears told Vogue that she didn’t have a traditional first dance with her new husband. Instead, she busted a move with Gomez and Madonna to her iconic hit “Toxic”. Later in the evening, she even sang a duet to “Stars Are Blind” with Hilton.
Spears and Madonna even took a moment to recreate their jaw-dropping kiss at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards after her wedding ceremony.
The “Circus” singer later shared a picture of her kiss with Madonna on Instagram, and she wrote that she was “so honoured” that Madonna came to her wedding. She also joked that it was “weird” that she is shorter than Madonna, who she said is “extremely short” to begin with.
