Production for Heartstopper season two is officially underway, with the cast being spotted filming overseas.

Netflix confirmed cameras were set to roll on a new batch of episodes in late September – and now we have got our first glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming season.

Photos and videos have been shared across social media of Kit Connor and Joe Locke, who play central couple Nick and Charlie, sharing their first overseas trip to Paris.
Of course, their presence in Paris makes total sense as volume two of Alice Oseman’s graphic novels see Nick, Charlie and the gang taking to the city of love.

Kit and Joe were seen sitting at a table in casual get-ups, with Connor sporting an adorable smile.

One fan managed to catch a video of the two leads filming themselves emerging from the Paris subway holding hands.

Others have spotted the Heartstopper cast and crew spending the day at Disneyland Paris and living their best Parisian lives.

Heartstopper season two will introduce some new faces including Leila Khan as Sahar Zahid, Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David Nelson and Nima Taleghani as a new teacher Mr Farouk.

Speaking to NME earlier this year, Connor spoke about his hopes for future episodes. For Nick, I think there’s a lot more exploration to be done in terms of his family,” Connor said. “It’s known to fans of the comics that he has an older brother who’s homophobic.”

He continued: “I think that would be a really interesting route to go down, but I think there’s loads of material to go and explore.”

The first season of Heartstopper was a runaway hit for Netflix, with the streamer quickly renewing it for a second and third season.
We’re yet to learn when the show will return to screens, but April 2023 will mark a year since the show’s premiere.
