JoJo Siwa says Jenna Dewan gave her a gay awakening: ‘I watched it every day’

JoJo Siwa and Jenna Dewan

JoJo Siwa has revealed how she knew that women were ‘her gig’ in a TikTok challenge, shouting out Demi Lovato and Jenna Dewan.

Siwa joined in with a TikTok challenge revolving around Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl”, with users rapping along to the instrumental with improvised lyrics.

The audio starts with the phrase “One thing ’bout me”, and users proceed to then reveal a fact about themselves.

For internet sensation and TikTok superstar Jojo Siwa, that one thing was how, exactly, she knew she was a lesbian.

The TikTok has now been deleted, but her lyrics, as reported by Yahoo! Finance, were as follows: “When I was 12, Demi Lovato came out with the song ‘Cool for the Summer’. I really, really liked it and I listened to it all the time.

“I didn’t know what it meant back then but now that I’m much older and I understand it.

“Then a few years later, Jenna Dewan went on Lip Sync Battle. She did a really great Magic Mike number. I watched it every day.”

Jenna Dewan’s Lip Sync Battle appearance was heavily inspired by her ex husband Channing Tatum’s role in Magic Mike, in which he appeared as a stripper.

Siwa continued in a second verse, revealing that the pivotal moment of her gay awakening came she went on a date with a man, and he wanted to have sex with her.

“Little me, she didn’t know she was gay until, a couple years later, a man was my first date and he wanted to have sex with me and I did not want to, never wanted to, grossed out by the thought of it, immediately knew men are not my thing, women are my gig, gotta go.”

She also posted this TikTok. For clarity.
