Jamie Lee Curtis has reminded the world once more that she vehemently condemns transphobia and bigotry – and fans are here for it.

The Halloween star recently opened up about being scared by the death threats, transphobia and hate against trans people like her daughter Ruby in an emotional interview in October.

The actor’s advocacy for the trans community was widely welcomed, but also sparked predictable backlash from gender-critical voices.

Curtis reiterated in a brief and powerful statement on Twitter that she won’t stop fighting back against transphobia and hatred in the world.

“Btw….I am NOT looking to cancel anyone,” she wrote. “I AM looking to OPPOSE antisemitism, white supremacy, fascism, transphobia and other oppressive regimes and ideologies where the sole intent is the silencing, obliteration and annihilation of others.”

Honestly, fans on social media were living for Jamie Lee Curtis’s statement and said it was just more proof of why the Freaky Friday star is truly a ‘national treasure’.

Curtis told Spanish radio network Cadena SER that Ruby, who came out publicly as trans in 2021, faces “threats against her life” just for “existing as a human being”.

“There are people who want to annihilate her, her and people like her,” Curtis said.

She continued: “The level of hatred is … as if we had not learned from fascism, as if we hadn’t learned what the result of that is. The extermination of human beings. That’s terrifying.”

“So Jamie Lee Curtis is scared and so should you be. And Jamie Lee Curtis has a voice, and she’s trying to use it, and you should too.”

The Knives Out star encouraged people to speak out against transphobia and bigotry in their real lifes because that is how society changes for the better.

“And that’s how we change things, by thinking about them, learning about them and then using our voices to draw attention and fight them,” she said.

In March, Jamie Lee Curtis shared a beautiful birthday tribute to Ruby on social media while also vowing to fight the rising number of “discriminatory” anti-LGBTQ+ bills emerging in the US.

Curtis shared that she is “proud” to be Ruby’s mum and was sending her support to “all trans families across the US targeted by conservative legislatures”.

The actor vowed to use her “freedom of speech” to support her child and “all trans children trying [to] live freely as who they are”.

Curtis added in a post on Instagram: “This country was founded on freedom. A profoundly simple idea that everyone living here should be free to dream and achieve what they want freely…

“Now politicians are proposing that parents providing gender-affirming care for THEIR OWN children are felons and deserve prison time.

“These laws are discriminatory, unjust, and anti-American. Freedom of expression includes gender expression!”
