Johnny Depp is reportedly set to become the first man to star in Rihanna’s upcoming Savage X Fenty show, in a 2022 surprise no one was ready for.

Depp will be a focus of one of the show’s “star” moments, where the likes of supermodel Cindy Crawford and singer-songwriter Erykah Badu have previously appearances, according to TMZ.

Sources tell the publication Rihanna and her team invited Depp to be featured as a surprise guest in her Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 fashion show, and say both are feeling “super excited” to make it happen.

Depp is thought to have already filmed his part for the show, and sources say he channelled a “cool and chic” vibe.

The latest Savage X Fenty show will drop on 9 November exclusively on streaming service, Amazon Prime Video.

LGBTQ+ stars appearing in this edition of the show include Drag Race’s Kornbread, social media personality Rickey Thompson, model and actor Cara Delevigne and Lilly Singh.

Depp previously appeared at the 2022 VMAs, following a lengthy televised trial against Amber Heard which sparked toxic debate across the internet.

On Twitter people have begun to react to the bizarre collaboration, with one tweet saying: “The way that Johnny Depp would’ve never got these opportunities if he hadn’t abused his wife. crazy.”

Another user responded: “The fact that Amber Heard had to lose opportunities while being the victim while this man is somehow getting brand deals with MTV and Fenty. The world is disgusting.”

Many others have commented under the same thread to say they hope the news isn’t true.

Heard has since said she intends to appeal the trial verdict that found her guilty of defaming her ex-husband.

Rihanna recently released her first single in six years, but it didn’t quite hit like some fans thought it would.
