Madonna asks trolls to stop ‘bullying’ her for ‘enjoying her life’

Madonna has address those who bully her for sharing her life on Instagram.
Madonna’s risque videos on the social media platform, which include her donning lingerie and doing poppers, have led to a continual flurry of ageist and misogynistic comments demanding that she “age gracefully”.
It’s hardly anything new – the pop icon has spoken out against similar criticism throughout almost her entire career. Which she’s done once again.
In her latest Instagram post, she shared the message: “Stop bullying Madonna for enjoying her life.”
Madonna’s plea comes after rapper 50 Cent recently called the star “pathetic” for sharing a video of herself lip-syncing to “vent” by Baby Keen.

Writing on Instagram Stories, 50 Cent said: “Madonna using rap music for clout on TikTok is pathetic and truly disturbs my spirit. I told y’all grandma was on bulls**t! like a virgin at 64. LOL.”
It’s not the first time that Madonna and the rapper have been at loggerheads, with 50 Cent previously mocking her posts and suggesting that she is too old to be posing suggestively.
“Yo this is the funniest s**t! LOL,” he wrote in a post last December, after Madonna posted a picture of herself underneath a bed in fishnets and a stellar pair of heels.
“That’s Madonna under the bed trying to do like a virgin at 63. She shot out, if she don’t get her old a** up. LMFAO,” 50 Cent added.
Madonna retaliated at the time, sharing a photo of the two together in 2003 and writing: “Here is 50 Cent pretending to be my friend. Now you have decided to talk smack about me!
“You’re just jealous you won’t look as good as me or have as much fun when you are my age!”
50 Cent aside, Madonna has also been targeted by the media and trolls on social media saying that she should “grow up and act her age”.
Fans have continually leapt to her defence, with one writing: “Sad to think of the gratuitous hatred Madonna receives after having done so much for the LGBTQIA+ community, for women, was an activist during the HIV/AIDS epidemic, risked her own career, received death threats. Really, Madonna’s only mistake is that she’s still alive.”
Another fan added that she should “stay weird”, writing: “Can I just say how much I f*ing LOVE @Madonna these days? I hope I can scandalize the entire world at the age of 62. She cracks me up, doesn’t give a toss. You go, girl…”
Throughout her career, Madonna has regularly had to defend herself against a slurry of ageist comments. While accepting the award for Woman of the Year and the 2016 Billboard Women in Music awards, she said that “the most controversial thing” she has done during her stardom “is to stick around”.
Last month, she shared a clip of an old interview on TikTok, in which she was asked what she’ll be doing when she’s 60.
“Who knows? I’m not a fortune teller. Hopefully I’ll be having fun whatever I’m doing,” she quips in response, followed by a montage of images from her recent social media antics.
Captioning the video, she wrote: “I guess I am a fortune teller…I’ll be having fun forever!!”
