Bake Off hun Alison Hammond says younger boyfriend has ‘healing hands’

Alison Hammond has given rare insight into her relationship with younger boyfriend David Putman, saying she thinks marriage is “archaic”.
The This Morning co-host, 51, has been dating Putman, 29, since 2023. He is a model and massage therapist, and their relationship has drawn attention for its 22-year age gap.
Explaining why it feels different, everyone’s favourite hun Hammond said: “I’ve always had issues with my boyfriends, this one I don’t,” adding: “We get on really well. We love each other. I never have to worry and second-guess how he feels about me. He’s wonderful.”
She also shared a glimpse of their day-to-day dynamic, saying: “We’re having a lovely time, lovely holidays. We’re kissing a lot.” Hammond added to the Daily Mail: “I’m having a lot of massages. He’s got healing hands.”
How they met
The couple first met when Hammond booked Putman for a massage in 2023.
Hammond has also previously spoken about their age gap, telling Good Housekeeping: “I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference.
“Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me, ‘We get it now.’”
Marriage and children
When discussing the future, Hammond said: “Maybe David wants to have children in the future. I can’t give him that. I would never ever stop him doing that.”
On marriage, she was clear she is not interested, saying: “I feel marriage is archaic. I don’t want to belong to anyone. I don’t want to change my name. I might get engaged, but some man owning me? It’s not gonna happen!”
Hammond rose to prominence on Big Brother in 2002 and has since become a familiar face on ITV daytime television, particularly through This Morning and her viral interview moments that have cemented her as one of the UK’s favourite huns.
