Chris Moyles and Jonathan Ross attack Graham Norton’s new show
Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles has attacked gay TV presenter Graham Norton’s latest show, calling it “appalling”.
Norton’s primetime BBC 1 show, Totally Saturday, lost more than a million viewers at the weekend.
Moyles, who has been accused of homophobia after mocking gay singer Will Young and calling a ringtone “gay”, said: “It’s so appallingly bad and I feel sorry for Graham Norton.
“Imagine Saturday Night Takeaway with no budget, if everybody had been away for a week and hadn’t come up with any new ideas and they’d got to the office three hours before the show went live on the air – it’s like that.
“I’ll be loyal to the BBC and say watch it, but watch it for all the wrong reasons.”
His attack follows Jonathan Ross’s criticism of the show on Saturday.
Ross told his listeners: “Poor Graham, I feel for him watching that show. It makes even that series John Barrowman was in look like a work of genius.”
He added that the programme was “not good enough”.
