Dale Winton inexplicably announces endorsement of fellow fake tan enthusiast Donald Trump
The TV host has bizarrely explained why is backing Donald Trump in the 2016 US election.
Dale Winton is probably best know for hosting TV show’s Supermarket Sweep and The National Lottery.
However, it seems he may be about to embark on a new career – as a political pundit.
The TV host has now written an op-ed in support of Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, in which he marvels at the businessman’s “authenticity”.
In an op-ed for Conservative Woman, he reveals his love for US politics and says he fell for Mr Trump before he’d “even uttered a single word.”
“When Trump descended the electric staircase orange, coiffed and above all incredibly confident; my jaw hit the floor.”
He says he quickly felt for “compassion” for his fellow tan lover, “as one who has spent his entire professional life being ridiculed for my “fluorescent tanned” complexion.”
However, the host says he was soon “sitting bolt upright hanging onto his every word” Mr Trump had to say.
And although Winton admits “idolising his lighting man,” he claims that is not the only reason Mr Trump is “In It To Win It”.
“He’s fearless and he promises to make his followers safe and prosperous,” Winton writes.
“He loves his country and he’ll do his best to protect it from anyone who threatens its constitution.
“He’s also recognised that the liberal Left and political correctness have bullied us into silence. And there’s the rub.”
Apparently, you “cannot bully Trump and at the same time, he’s got your back.”
Winton also claims this inspires a “safe feeling for the millions of his followers who feel ignored by both parties.
“They’ve had enough of the Washington two-step performed by the politicians they’ve put in power.”
We’re unsure whether Mr Trump is aware of his newest fan, however he recently lauded over another UK endorser – controversial columnist Katie Hopkins.
