Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown says Tom and Abby’s reunion nearly didn’t happen

Karamo Brown deletes Twitter following Sean Spicer controversy

Queer Eye‘s Karamo Brown has said that the reunion between fan favourites’ Tom Jackson and Abby Parr nearly didn’t happen.

Speaking toĀ Entertainment Weekly, culture guru Brown admitted thatĀ ā€“Ā behind the scenesĀ ā€“Ā he had already taken JacksonĀ toĀ ā€œto meet different women” in speed dating-like situations and revamped his dating profile in a bid to reignite his love life.

KaramoĀ said he had been trying to find JacksonĀ a new suitor before the Fab Five discovered ā€“ during an exchange between food expert Antoni Porowski and Jackson ā€“ that the Kentucky man was still in love with his former wifeĀ Parr.

ā€œAntoni shifted that episode,ā€ saidĀ Brown, who had been taking Jackson on outings to meet women “to build his confidence.”

ā€œAntoni catching that one [comment where Jackson mentions Parr] literally cut my scene out, which Iā€™m happy about… All of a sudden we are on a bench and Iā€™m like, ā€˜Call your ex-wife!ā€™ [to invite her to the car show].ā€

Meanwhile, Porowski toldĀ Entertainment Weekly:Ā ā€œWe all have those discoveries in one episode or another.”

Earlier this month, Jackson re-marriedĀ Parr.

In the latest and most joyful twist in the long-running relationship saga, the protagonist of the Netflix showā€™s first episode tied the knot on March 27.

They eloped to a charming venue in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, on the edge of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where they married each other without any of their friends or family present.

The newlyweds then embarked on a romantic honeymoon in the mountains.

Jackson, a self-proclaimed redneck, broke audience membersā€™ hearts with his self-deprecating ā€œcanā€™t fix uglyā€ comments ā€“ but lifted their spirits as he reconnected with his ex-wife, Abby.

The end of his episode saw the ā€œdumb old country boy from Kentuckyā€ invite her on a date after telling viewers: ā€œI love Abby more than anything.

ā€œShe says she loves me, I know I love her. Youā€™ll have to ask her why sheā€™s not with me.ā€

But on February 28,Ā he took to Twitter to tell fans that the couple had once again broken up, writing: ā€œI just watched my episode for about the 20th time. I cryĀ  Ā like a babyĀ  Ā [every] time I watch it.

ā€œJust to let the worldĀ  Ā know, Abby and I are no longer together. She will always be the loveĀ ā¤ļøĀ of my life. I will always loveĀ ā¤ļøĀ her more than anything!!!!!!!ā€

Fans were distraught ā€“ but that wasnā€™t the end of this rollercoaster of a relationship drama.

A week after announcing their split, Tom told fans that he and Abby were back together.

ā€œSo happyĀ  Ā to say that Abby and I are reunitedĀ  Ā Weā€™ve loved each other for many years and want to spend the rest of our lives together!!!!!!!!Ā  ā€

And in March, just 13 days after he announced that they had broken up,Ā Tom took to social media to tell his followers that he and Abby were once again going to be man and wife.

ā€œItā€™s official, Abby and I are engaged,ā€ he wrote. ā€œWhat a Netflix special the would be. If the Fab 5 planned and attended our wedding!!!!!!!!!ā€

Queer EyeĀ season 2 will be released on Netflix on June 15.
