Demi Lovato sets the internet on fire by touching tongues with backup dancer

Demi Lovato has set her fandom on fire with a picture of her licking her backup dancer’s tongue.

The photo, posted on Instagram with the caption “Happy Pride!!!! ,” showed the 25-year-old singer smiling and embracing dancer Dani Vitale during her ongoing Tell Me You Love Me World Tour.

Demi, who came out last year, deleted the post just hours later, but her fans, known as Lovatics, had already taken screenshots.

The picture, which went up on Tuesday while the pair were in Amsterdam, was just the latest to set tongues wagging in her fandom.

Another Instagram photo posted by Vitale last week showed her and Demi smiling and pressing their faces together, with the caption: “My 9-5 job > yours.”

And on New Year’s Day, another of Demi’s dancers, Jojo Gomez, posted a photo of her and Demi kissing, writing underneath: “Happy New Year @ddlovato ✨. First kiss of 2018! ”

Demi, who is a longtime LGBT advocate, revealed last year that she was open to dating women, saying: “That’s how I’ve always felt.”

In March, Demi explained more about her sexuality, saying: “I’m very fluid, and I think love is love. You can find it in any gender.

“I like the freedom of being able to flirt with whoever I want.”

The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer followed this up by kissing Kehlani – who came out as queer in April – on stage.

Demi also cuddled Kehlani, who features on lesbian superstar Hayley Kiyoko’s new album Expectations, and mounted her before proceeding to grind away on top of her.

She later said that “it was perfect. It was awesome.”

Before last year, Lovato had previously resisted attempts to label her sexual orientation.

Demi has also been reluctant to open up about the lyrics to her song Cool for the Summer, which many say has Sapphic undertones, and certainly contains bisexual lighting.

The song’s lyrics include: “Got a taste for the cherry / I just need to take a bite,” and “I’m a little curious, too / tell me if it’s wrong, if it’s right / I don’t care / I can keep a secret, can you?”

When Alan Carr asked whether the song was about same-sex relationships, Lovato said: “I’m not confirming, and I’m definitely not denying.”

Demi has long been an LGBT activist though, as seen when she chose Danica Roem, the first transgender person to be elected to the Virginia House of Representatives, to be her date to the American Music Awards.

The 25-year-old star said: “We connected because I heard her story – and when I heard [it] I was just completely inspired by it.”

The singer also helped gay couple Rayvon Owen and Shane Bitney to get engaged during one of her concerts in March.
